Mövenpick Living Istanbul West

I would give this hotel 0/10 and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. There were unexpected costs and unclear charges, which caused a lot of frustration. The place was in very poor condition, with broken or badly maintained furniture and facilities. It wasn't clean, and the service fell far below an acceptable standard. Some staff were unprofessional. One employee in particular, a blonde woman dressed in white, was rude and disrespectful, making things worse instead of helping guests. This was the worst hotel experience I've ever had.

Aşiye Yılmaz from housekeeping cleaned our room with great care and left everything spotless. Rames, our butler, was polite, attentive, and always ready to help, while Abdullah at breakfast made us feel welcome with his warm hospitality. The team’s kindness and professionalism stood out during our comfortable stay at Mövenpick Living Istanbul. A few small improvements would help the hotel reach an even higher standard, but it's clear the team works hard. Their dedication made our visit pleasant. Thanks to everyone at Mövenpick for the effort and hospitality.

The room cleaning let us down a couple of times. The beds weren't even made, and dirty dishes were left around. I also mentioned on arrival that it was my husband's birthday, but nothing was done. The hotel was otherwise very nice and clean, with a lovely breakfast and plenty of choice, and very good leisure facilities. It's quite far out, though a shuttle bus runs to a few places. Some staff were friendly, especially hotel manager Can Tufekci, whom we had the pleasure of meeting on our departure day. Nothing was too much trouble for him, and he went above and beyond.

We didn't have time to try the pool, which was a shame. The hotel is quite far from the main tourist spots like the bazaar and Blue Mosque, around 1 hour and 15 minutes by local transport from the old center. Our four-bedroom villa apartment was spacious, comfortable, clean, and well equipped. Breakfast impressed me too, with lots of variety and something different each day. Vesile and the rest of the hotel team were friendly and helpful whenever we needed anything. I highly recommend it.
