Des Arts Galata Hotel

The breakfast setup at the nearby restaurant facing Galata Tower was a highlight, with great food and atmosphere. The hotel itself is central and just a short walk from the tower. Though it’s in a historic building, it was clean, well maintained, and thoughtfully arranged. The staff made the stay special. Şefik at reception was kind, attentive, and genuinely helpful. The team looked after us during a demanding night, and the person who took over at shift change was just as professional and friendly. We felt welcome and at home throughout, and would gladly choose this hotel again. We were extremely satisfied and feel it deserves a very high rating.

Sefik was the standout. He was at the front desk every night, always friendly and helpful, and brought us water and coffee, arranged taxis, and suggested places to go. After a long day, he’d invite us to sit and have coffee or water and hang out. He was always keen to help. One of the best hotel desk staff I’ve met. Thank you, Sefic! We stayed four nights in room 12 on the fourth floor. It’s a small boutique hotel, a block from Galata Tower, with a comfortable king bed and shower. Even with the crowds and noise in the area, we heard almost nothing, just a faint call to prayer from the mosque around 5:30 a.m., which I found kind of relaxing.

The rooms were pretty and spacious, the location was really good, and we liked the breakfast. The guys at reception were so helpful, and we really enjoyed staying here. When we come back to Istanbul, I know where we’ll stay!

Everything was spotless and well looked after, and the staff were wonderful throughout. Special thanks to Sefik, Mert, Yunus, and Aylin for being so kind and professional. Great hotel in an excellent location. Highly recommend it, and we’ll definitely be back.
