Naumpasa Konagi Hotel

It was a little noisy, as you’d expect around Taksim, but it didn’t bother me much. The staff were very helpful, and the place was super clean, which matters most to me. The rooms are small, though I actually liked the cozy feel. You’re not paying for a 5-star place, after all. For the price, I thought it was definitely worth it.

I had to buy a bag at a shop because there wasn’t even a trash can in the room. There’s a club nearby and it gets noisy at night. Breakfast was tiny, and the area was loud and packed with tourists. I wouldn’t recommend it, next time I’ll stay farther from the city center.

You’re only a couple of minutes on foot from Taksim Meydani, with plenty of local restaurants and shops nearby. For the location and price, it’s hard to beat. Rooms are small if you book one large bed, but bigger with two beds. Everything was very, very clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. They found me reasonably priced parking nearby, brought extra sheets close to midnight when I asked, and helped me check whether local amusements were open. Breakfast is included, served on a plate with plenty to choose from, and you can have as much coffee and tea as you like. Everyone we dealt with was great. A clean place at a very reasonable price, I’d definitely recommend it.

The location is very nice, and there are lots of hotels nearby. We moved to another one just a few minutes away, and the room, service, really everything was miles better. This hotel was unfit as a hotel, which is saying something since I’m hard to annoy and most of my reviews are praise for places I’ve loved. There was no hot water when we checked in. Emergencies happen, but the concierge didn’t warn us, so we only found out at night when my friend stepped into the shower. They kept saying it would be fixed the next morning, then in a few hours, and eventually admitted they didn’t know when it would be back. Repairs also made the building noisy and dirty, and the lift was unusable at times. The hotel never apologized, offered an alternative, or even acknowledged the problem unless we asked for an update. They’d arranged an airport transfer and confirmed I could pay at reception, then later demanded cash, something they hadn’t mentioned when arranging it. The room safe didn’t work either. The evening concierge wouldn’t come up to fix it, though the morning concierge did. The room itself was very poor, like a cheap 2 star hotel, with super-thin sheets and no proper blanket.
