I booked through Hotel.com and arrived around 7 p.m. The man there told me to cancel because they had no rooms, apparently to avoid paying commission. Hotel.com wouldn’t cancel after 2 p.m., which I understand. Then, swinging prayer beads, the man demanded that I pay again for the room. I asked him to prove there were no rooms, and he wrote something that seemed intended to fool me. I refused to pay twice and left for another hotel, so my booking money was wasted. It seemed to me the hotel was operating by the hour rather than by the day. Couples were asking about two or three hours. Afterward, I asked local shopkeepers about nearby hotels, and they all advised me to stay farther away and find another place. I’m including the document the man with the prayer beads wrote below. If that sounds like your kind of experience, go there.

We booked a place advertised as a 2+1, but it turned out to be a 1+1. It took half an hour to find the room, which was on the -2nd floor. It was freezing, the air conditioning couldn’t warm it, and there were no windows. With the door shut it got stuffy and hard to breathe, so we were cold all night. They said checkout was at 12, but showed up at 11. When I went upstairs to ask about it, they said customers were waiting and asked us to bear with them. A terrible place.

It felt a lot like home, the rooms were clean, and the hygiene was impeccable. The service was excellent and the staff very attentive. Tea, water, and coffee were available too. I highly recommend it 👌
