Nova Hotel

The location is the main reason I'd consider staying here again, with buses from other cities, public transport and access to İstanbul airport nearby. If I do, I'll inspect the room and bathroom carefully first. My brother checked the room, but apparently not the bathroom. The first shower was filthy, with hair in the drain, soap scum on the tiles and screen, and mould in the grout. I have photos, though I'm embarrassed to post them. The basin leaked and made the floor slippery, especially in the provided slippers, and I nearly fell twice. I had to ask for towels, a bath mat, a kettle, tea and coffee. When I complained, a staff member was rude and called it a rare occurrence, but the shower looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. I was told bath mats are apparently for couples only, as if other people don't shower. They offered us a replacement room, which was cleaner and had been renovated. The cleaners were friendly, and one gave me a bath mat. We also had two visitors one day and were served complimentary tea, which was nice. The price is comparable to much better hotels a little farther from the Otogar. Please check your room properly if you stay here.

I’d recommend this place to anyone on a budget. The location was excellent, and the staff were so welcoming, friendly and helpful with every request. Bilal, Ahmed and the two other guys whose names I’ve forgotten were especially accommodating. Thank you, Shefa begum islam.

We found this was the best value around, given how few options there are, though 180 try for 2 still felt expensive for what it is. It's cheaper here and the staff are nicer than at the other bus station hotel. Breakfast was good, and the day staff were really friendly. We could keep our bicycles inside. The bus station location is handy for travel, but also quite noisy. Rooms are large and reasonably comfortable, though a bit run down. The old bathrooms need renovation, and our shower didn't drain properly.

The rooms were dirty, smelled awful, and had broken door locks. The internet was so slow it might as well not have been there. The photos are fake, and I wouldn't recommend staying here. As I was leaving, the guys at reception asked me to write a good review. Sorry, guys, I can't think of anything good.
