Oriella Hotel

It’s super clean, and everyone is friendly. The hotel is just minutes from important places like Taksim, The Grand Bazaar, and The Blue Mosque. Room service is available 24h. I really recommend staying here.

I stayed for a week. The rooms were okay and clean, and the location is good, near Taksim and the metro. But getting up to the street means climbing a mountain. What was that!! Breakfast was weird: the bread seemed a couple days old, boiled eggs were cold, and you couldn’t ask for anything extra. The staff were okay, just a bit angry, for some reason I don’t know.

The room smelled moldy, like a 'dirt-wet cat', and the heater failed throughout all 6 nights we stayed. They gave us a space heater only on the fourth night. We were told someone would come fix the central heating, but no one ever did. The website pictures were far from what we found in person. Breakfast was monotonous and unimpressive, and the second-floor restaurant staff clearly didn’t care what guests thought. Most of the front desk staff gave us disdainful looks. Only the cleaning lady and one man who spoke a little English and tried to help us arrange airport transportation were somewhat cordial. Deplorable and a total sham is how I’d describe this place. It should lose any stars it has. We stayed from December 29 - 2024 to Jan 4-2025, and would never recommend anyone stay here. I can’t call it a hotel.

We stayed for 7 nights and had a good experience. The hotel is in a busy part of the city, so there’s a lot of noise, which can’t be avoided. Our room was clean and had good facilities, and the staff were respectful and behaved appropriately. For the price we paid, it was quite acceptable, and access is excellent.
