Otel Aktaş

I arranged rooms at Aktaş Hotel in Kadıköy for my international guests the day before they arrived, at an agreed price of 400 TL. No deposit was requested. But when we showed up with the guests, the bespectacled man at reception asked them for 450 TL. When they reminded him of the 400 TL agreement, he said the hotel had no rooms left, leaving them stranded and inconvenienced. The communication was poor and his behavior seemed erratic. He asked for more than the price he had agreed to the day before, then claimed there were no rooms once we objected. I hope the hotel goes bankrupt and he learns to behave properly. If you do go there, watch out for his surly attitude.

The rooms were average to decent. I stayed two days while work was going on at the hotel. I warned them about the noise, but they ignored me. The jet rock and drill made it impossible for us to rest. I wouldn’t recommend it for families.
