Pandora Suit Otel

The room had an unbearable cigarette smell. I booked through Airbnb, and the host tried to refuse my cancellation, claiming there was no no-smoking policy. That was a lie. I could only cancel with Airbnb’s help, and they did a great job getting my money back at the last minute while the host kept lying and refusing to cancel. Terrible!!!!

The hotel feels very old and poor value for the price. There were hardly any sheets or blankets, and the toilet had no soap.

The rooms were really dirty, and the staff were rude. There was no air conditioning, and the hallways were so noisy. This was the worst experience. It barely felt like a hotel.

At 240 lira, this cost more than the 150 lira I often paid elsewhere in Turkey. I understood that the city would be pricier and was okay with the rate, but expected service like the other amazing hotels I’d stayed at around the country. There wasn’t even breakfast included. The room had a stale cigarette smell, as if it hadn’t been properly aired out in a long time. Reception told me to open the window, which didn’t help. They offered to arrange a room change, but at 11pm I didn’t want the hassle, especially since I expected the other rooms to be similar. I just expect a clean, tidy room from the start. If I could give it less than one star, I would.
