The staff were friendly, and our room was clean. The location was really nice, very close to Istiklal Street.

The host was friendly and kind. The location is very convenient, close to the metro and several bus stops. When I ran out of toilet paper, I messaged and it was brought upstairs right away. The front desk was there most of the time, which helped me feel safe. It’s a busy area and can be noisy, with a lot of strange people around. The lift is tiny, so two people with lots of luggage can’t easily use it together. There’s no separate air conditioning in the room. It’s centrally controlled, and the host decides when to switch it on depending on the weather.

I’m back in Istanbul after a few years away, and while reading hotel reviews I remembered this as one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had anywhere 😹 We left after the first night, even though we’d paid for 3-4 nights. They said there’d be no refund, and we said fine, goodbye 👋 Just stay somewhere else.

For a budget stay, this place is clean and comfortable. It’s centrally located, with great transport links nearby and most things close at hand. I’d happily stay again.
