Radisson Blu Residence, Istanbul Batisehir

I really liked the apartment. It was comfortable and very nice, and there's a nearby supermarket for everyday things, fresh fruit and vegetables. Just behind the apartment are a few shops and casual dining spots. The location is a bit far from the old town and tourist sights. A taxi to the spice market cost 55TL.

We were surprised to find this serviced apartment on our last day in Turkey, and we really loved it. Our child didn't want to go home and just wanted to stay here. The apartment was huge, with two bedrooms, a living room, kitchen and dining room. It was clean and neat, with a simple modern design and a balcony looking out over the city. Amenities were nearby, and breakfast was delicious. No downsides for us.

We spent 14 days in a two bedroom apartment, which was practical and clean for a family with kids. My three children enjoyed the stay. There was access to a kids' play area and football, as well as Onur Supermarket. Cenk at reception was professional and very helpful with destinations. You'll need a car because you can't reach transportation. The car park is free and safe.

The hotel was clean and quiet, with nice facilities, and there's a lovely supermarket down the road at the front. Staff were friendly, helpful and professional. Shame the Radisson Blu Istanbul doesn't have a swimming pool, unlike other international hotels of this standard.
