Riva Hotel Taksim

The front desk staff gave us a warm welcome, and the location is great, just a few minutes from the Havaist bus stop. My only complaint was cigarette smell in the room. It crept up gradually and gave me a bit of a headache, so I had to leave the windows open all day.

Selim looked after us so well each morning at the complimentary hosted breakfast and made the stay more pleasant. The front desk was very helpful, and the manager took good care of us when I got in touch. My family and I visit Istanbul often, sometimes more than once a year, and on our latest trip we booked five rooms at Riva Taksim. We’ve stayed in the area many times, and this is a good hotel choice. It’s well maintained and modern, which stands out in an old city. Room sizes differ, so check ahead and pick what suits you. The location is excellent, close to the metro and buses, within walking distance of popular sights, and convenient in general. The airport bus stop is nearby, so getting to and from the airport is easy without a taxi. I highly recommend it if you want to stay in Taksim close to everything.

I’ve stayed at Riva four times with family and friends, and I really miss it. It’s a pleasant, safe, comfortable hotel, with clean rooms, a complete breakfast, and well-organized service. The reception and service staff are all kind and friendly.

The staff were kind and helpful. Breakfast was not bad, though I’d have liked more sweet options, like biscuits or pancakes.
