There were dirty, moldy walls, old hair everywhere, and a bad smell. For five days, we got only one roll of toilet paper. The walls were so thin that loud conversations went on late into the night, and breakfast preparations woke us around 7 a.m. There was no chance of sleeping properly. When we arrived, we tried to shower but found it wasn’t working. It took until the next day to get it repaired, and I think it still wouldn’t work if we hadn’t argued with the staff. One star feels too generous. Avoid this hotel.

There are bed bugs here, and the rooms and beds are dirty. The staff are problematic, and the third floor stinks because they cook something in the kitchen there. Watch out, the elevator may also malfunction without warning.

After a long journey, we arrived to find a broken shower and had to stay dirty until the next day. They said it would be fixed, but we had to argue with them just to get them to try. It was the worst start to the year anyone could ask for! I won’t even get into how dirty the room and shower were, or the towels. 😭😡

The best thing about the hotel was its convenient location. Public transport was easy to reach, and there were plenty of affordable restaurants nearby. The price felt a little high for the quality of the room, though it was still acceptable. The restaurant wasn’t anything special and only served breakfast. Hygiene standards overall were unfortunately below par. My stay was uncomfortable, especially because the room was old, musty, and not clean. I’d still give the place 4/5 because of the reception employee’s exceptional service. He was kind, professional, and incredibly helpful, going out of his way to assist us and leaving me with a much better impression of the hotel. I’m grateful to the reception staff for their help.

The cleaner was absolutely lovely, and the Turkish man handling breakfast seemed to take care of everything else too. The two younger receptionists who weren’t from Turkey were poor with guests, and the atmosphere left me feeling they might be taking advantage of the Turkish staff. Apart from the cleaner and the cook, customer service was lacking. After our first night, the power went out in our room. We had no hot water and couldn’t charge our phones. Reception said nothing could be done because it was nighttime and showed little sympathy. One receptionist tried to fix it, but the whole hotel had lost power. I also noticed signs of an earlier water leak on the ceiling. There were no lights on the stairs from the ground floor to the first floor and no handrails, which felt unsafe. The lift was tiny. We weren’t told where the fire escape was, when breakfast was served, or how to get on the WiFi. We had to figure all that out ourselves. No one offered to clean the room or change the bedding or towels. I had to find fresh ones, take out the rubbish, and sweep the floor. When we asked for a free night or a refund for the night without power, they said it wasn’t possible and sent us back to the person we had booked through, so it was hard to know what to do. After about four nights, we were told there were no rooms available. I understood, but another receptionist offered to find us somewhere else. That option cost much more, and I’m now wondering if he might have been getting a commission. Be very wary of staying here.
