Suitel Bosphorus Istanbul

The bathroom accident was the worst part. The shower pipe burst and sprayed hot water on my friend. He slipped, grabbed the glass divider, and it fell and broke, injuring him. The equipment was old and unreliable. After that, staff demanded payment and kept threatening us, shouting “pay or leave” instead of treating us with respect. We said it was their fault, and even Booking.com told them to negotiate, but they said they didn't care. We ended up paying $250. The room itself was filthy: dirty sheets, a stained bed, sand and debris on the floor, and no room service or cleaning. They promised two beds, but there was only a bed and a couch. There were even condoms on the floor, and the pictures were fake. I also heard there had been illegal activity. Something happened to a girl at their club and the police shut it down, but the staff allegedly pretended the place was closed, turned off the lobby lights, put up a closure tag, and told police they had no guests while still operating. It felt more like a brothel than a hotel. Total scam.

The only helpful person was the morning shift worker, who was understanding. Otherwise, the service was awful and the room was dusty and dirty, with towels that were supposed to be white but were black. When we arrived at night, the person there didn't know how to check us in. We waited over 30 minutes for a key, then he told us to figure out which floor our room was on because he didn't know. He also couldn't give us the Wi-Fi password, so we had to wait until the next day. Management is horrible. Save yourself the trouble and don't book here.

The rooms and the view from mine were amazing, and the staff made me feel like a friend or family. Ibrahim in particular was great and really helpful, with personal care for guests. I was lucky to find a room during Eid. It was a very pleasant stay, and I'd book again and again. Thanks for making it so good.

Ismet really helped us during our stay. He upgraded us to a deluxe room for our last day, arranged our trip to Bursa, and gave us directions. The staff were friendly and spoke English very well. The hotel is traditional and simple, just 50 meters from Taksim Square and the station. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a great Bosphorus view and a nice balcony. It exceeded our expectations for the price. If you're visiting Taksim and Istiklal Street, I strongly recommend it. We would book again.
