Sweet Home is about a 15-minute walk from Kadikoy, which is convenient. It might suit someone looking for a very cheap place for a few nights, but don’t expect much. I expected a little more, even knowing it wasn’t expensive. The room was tiny, parts of it clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a while, and the bathroom was very old. The “kitchen” listed on Booking.com was a dim little room with one bowl, two plastic plates, and some cutlery. There was also the owner’s favorite airfryer, which I couldn’t find a use for and which seemed unnecessary with so little other kitchen equipment. I’d only recommend this place to someone traveling on a very tight budget.

The bed was cozy and comfortable, and the metro station is just 3 minutes away. Everything is close by.

We had a limited budget and two heavy suitcases, so this place worked perfectly for us. It was quiet, simple, and cozy, and we’d happily stay again. We were on the top floor, where the bedroom window looked onto the roof. Seagulls flew around and called out there, and the view of the sky and sunset was beautiful. In the evenings, the fairy lights over the bed made the room feel especially cozy and romantic. Everything was very clean, with fresh linen and clean towels, and no “pets” or even mosquitoes.
