Sumengen Hotel

We’ve used this hotel as our base while traveling around, and I’ve stayed there three times. There’s a range of rooms to suit different budgets. I especially want to mention how kind and helpful the staff are. Joe has had my back during emergencies, including arranging a taxi to take my forgotten items to the airport when I didn’t have time to go back myself. He’s helped with lots of other things too, which made my time in Istanbul more relaxing. I recommend the hotel.

My daughter was delighted by the birthday surprise. I’d asked the staff to decorate the room and arrange a cake, and they were incredibly helpful. The decoration looked lovely and the cake was delicious. Please pass my thanks to the cake shop! My family and I had a wonderful time. The location and breakfast were nice, and the city center is only a 10-minute walk away. I also loved the view from the hotel restaurant. I appreciate the hotel and hope to come back soon. Thank you so much!

Jahn went well out of his way for us from 5/12-7/12. Before our 4am airport ride, he even ran out in the rain to get us fruit and drinks. The front desk and hotel deserve five stars. The staff are always ready to help, and the location is a stone’s throw from everything. It’s quiet at the end of the road, so noise wasn’t a concern. We’ll definitely be back. For a short stay where we spent most of our time out, everything else was good. One of the four beds was rather soft, so maybe that one could be checked.

The staff were excellent at Sumengen Hotel. It’s near the Blue Mosque, with lots of shops and restaurants close by.
