CTS Taksim Elysium Residence Duplex 90 (2+1)

The staff try hard to help and explain things, but these problems are management's responsibility. On our first day, the shower drain was blocked and water flooded the floor. Guests spent an hour cleaning it up with towels. The next day, the kitchen drain was clogged too. The old air conditioning doesn't work properly in every room, and the building itself is old with several maintenance issues. Guest comfort doesn't seem to be a priority. This summer has been extremely hot in Turkey, but guests aren't allowed to use the only outdoor chairs. Staff said it was because of chlorine concerns. Chlorine is safe at proper levels, so if it's restricting access, I suspect too much is being used, which would be dangerous. The property does this every Thursday, even in high season, and doesn't tell guests until after they've paid and checked in. I wasn't warned either. If I had been, I would've stayed somewhere else. I don't recommend this property. See photos.

There was barely any upkeep, and I even had to ask for a toaster and microwave. The apartment felt like a dirty dungeon, badly dated and nothing like the listing. Worst experience.

Getting around was easy from here: Taksim Square and Istiklal Street were only a few minutes away on foot, with plenty of cafes, restaurants, and shops nearby. Public transit also made it simple to reach other popular parts of Istanbul. The rooms felt spacious, modern, and clean, with tasteful details and comfortable furniture that made us feel at home. We slept especially well after long days, thanks to the comfortable beds. The staff were helpful from beginning to end. They were friendly, attentive, quick to answer questions, and ready to help with our requests throughout the stay.

The building has a gym and secure parking, which came in handy for our family. We also found the staff friendly and the service excellent. At Ofton Elysium Taksim, our apartment was clean, roomy, and comfortable. It's close to Taksim but quiet, too. We had a great stay and would highly recommend it.
