NEW INN Hotel Old Town

Breakfast was delicious, with a great range of fresh options each morning, and the service was excellent throughout. The hotel is very clean and well maintained, and the kind, professional staff were always ready to help. Its convenient location made exploring Istanbul easy. I felt comfortable from the moment I arrived, enjoyed my time here, and would happily return. Highly recommend New Inn Hotel Old Town.

I checked in around 1 a.m. last night. Check-in itself went smoothly, and no one mentioned any problem with the room or floor. When I tried to shower, there was no hot water. I waited about two hours, thinking it might be temporary, but the water stayed freezing cold. The phone lines to reception weren’t working, so I went downstairs. Only then did staff tell me the whole floor’s hot water had been cut off, they had no clear repair timeline because no plumbers were available overnight, and there were no other rooms to move me to. I left at 4 a.m. to find somewhere else to stay. It was extremely inconvenient and disappointing, especially since the hotel knew about the issue and didn’t tell me at check-in. A hotel of this standard shouldn’t assign guests rooms without hot water, and staff should be able to offer an immediate solution to a serious problem. This isn’t the first issue I’ve had here. Last year my booking was changed to a different room type on the rooftop. The ceiling was so low I kept hitting my head, though I assumed it was a one-off and didn’t make a fuss. The hotel is generally pleasant, and the rooms are usually spacious and clean, but my experiences suggest it’s very poorly managed. Reception staff seem to have little authority to resolve customer issues without management getting involved.

The location was the best part: close to public transport, cafes, and bakeries, in a homey area that felt much less touristy. The rooms were clean and very well designed, and breakfast had lots of delicious options. Whenever I asked for extra sheets or towels, they brought them right away.

The location is close to everything you need, with restaurants on site and shopping just blocks away. It felt safe and secure. The rooms are clean, and the young lady who took care of room #204 was the best. Everyone was professional and welcoming, and the hospitality was top-notch. I loved everything about this place. Book it, you’ll be very pleased.
