Taksim Gonen Hotel

The location was a real plus, and the staff were the highlight of my stay. Amir and Morteza were kind and professional, and their service is why I’d give the hotel four stars. The facilities and general quality felt closer to a three-star place to me. My room had poor sound insulation, so I could hear the neighbors clearly and had trouble sleeping. I even had to ask the guest next door to keep it down. Breakfast was average, though at the price I paid, I hadn’t expected more.

The rooftop breakfast terrace has a stunning view, and the rooms are clean and roomy. The hotel is right in the heart of Taksim Square, and the price feels very fair for what you get. Mr Soydan and his team gave us a warm, friendly welcome. I’d absolutely recommend it. The new WhatsApp assistant made things easier, and I really appreciated being able to communicate in Arabic, my own language. I had a great stay at Gonen Hotel in Taksim. Everyone on staff was friendly, kind, and ready to help. Thanks for the lovely hospitality!

The main drawback was the noise. The soundproofing is poor, so street sounds and other guests came through, and some nights I struggled to sleep. The rooms are a bit dated, though they were clean, and breakfast had a good selection. I chose the place for its location, just steps from Taksim Square, which made exploring the city easy. The staff were welcoming, especially Mr Amir, and the rooftop terrace has great views. If you sleep heavily, the location may make it worthwhile.
