The price was wow, just £15-£18 a day, and the place was clean. I was travelling solo but got two double beds, plus a balcony for some fresh air early in the morning. I arrived around 2am and they sent me the code for the front entrance. There’s a shop next door and restaurants and fast food places just minutes away. It’s an eight-minute walk to taksim square. The area looks impoverished, but don’t let that put you off. People were really nice and welcoming when I asked for directions. Great place, I’ll visit again.

The staff were very helpful and made it easy to have a comfortable stay. There’s a market in the same building, and you can ask for things to be brought to your room. It’s also next to all the facilities and the city center.

The location is handy for getting around: Taksim Square is within 01 km and walkable, Istikal street is about 600 mtrs., with lots of shopping, and Galata Tower is around 1.5 kms. away. Some people we met nearby were friendly and helpful, and the owner, Mr. Hakim, is a good person. Still, I wouldn't stay here again. It’s basically a house converted into a hotel. The rooms are small, unclean, and definitely not suites. The hotel and the immediate area are not clean either. There was no room service or cleaning after check-in, and we found insects and bugs in the room.

The hilly location could be hard if you’re carrying a suitcase, but there’s a small store right next door, which is handy for backpackers.
