Bonita Hotel

All five staff members we met were kind, friendly, and incredibly helpful. They sorted out transport cards, money exchange, directions, and airport shuttles for us. Breakfast was really good too. The room was small, as we expected, and there’s construction next door, but it didn’t bother us since we spent the whole day out in the city. For somewhere to sleep while exploring, the room was fine, and you won’t find a better place at that price. Big thanks to all the staff! 👍🏻

The room had insects, and the whole stay felt uncomfortable. The neighborhood seemed unsafe, and the place was dreary rather than dreamy. I’ve stayed in much better Istanbul hotels for the same price.

After a 45-hour flight from Australia and a long layover without sleep, I arrived in Istanbul to be yelled at and reprimanded for checking in during the morning. The male receptionist was extremely aggressive. I’d emailed the hotel twice well in advance to explain that my flight landed at 6 am, that I wouldn’t use the room the previous evening, and that I only needed it that morning. It was paid for, and I tried to explain that from the start. After being treated that way, I left because I didn’t feel safe with him there. I also don’t understand his claim that the room was occupied and still needed cleaning.

The room smelled bad and felt unhygienic, the breakfast was poor, and the staff were rude. The neighborhood seemed dodgy, with construction noise from early morning until sunset. The place looks nothing like the photos. It’s cheap, but not worth it.
