Taksim Nacre Suites Hotel

The neighborhood felt safe, the reception was welcoming, and the staff treated us warmly and professionally. Our room was clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable. The prices were reasonable too. I had a great stay at Taksim Nacri Résidence in Istanbul and would happily come back. I recommend it to anyone visiting Istanbul.

The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and the AC worked well. The staff were pleasant and the service was fairly decent, though there were a couple of things they never sorted out. I asked several times for new bathroom slippers because the ones provided were unusable. They kept saying okay, but I ended up using the same worn, wet pair throughout my stay. The fridge in my room was broken too, and it wasn’t fixed after I reported it. The hotel is conveniently placed near Taksim Square, Istiklal Street, and metro and bus stations. Just be aware the street is quite steep, which can be hard with heavy luggage.

The staff were very nice, and the rooms were what I expected for this price. Nothing fancy or especially modern, but clean and supplied with what we needed: shower gel, shampoo, a hair dryer, towels, slippers, a kettle, tea, and coffee. People say the area can be dangerous. We were in a group, went out every night, and felt fine. It’s a lively neighborhood for an evening walk, and at this price the hotel was a great choice.

For seven nights I had no problems at all. Room 501 was great and well cleaned. The staff are polite, pleasant young guys who respond to what you need right away. The street is a little steep, but it didn’t feel dangerous to me. I walked every day, saw ordinary people living there, and there were always tourists around too. The hotel itself is in a quiet, peaceful spot, with everything close by. It’s great for the price, and if I return I wouldn’t stay anywhere else. I recommend it wholeheartedly.
