Taksim Tulip Residence & Hotel

There were bed bugs, and the manager didn’t know English. The online platform took the money, but the hotel didn’t provide service. We checked in at 11 p.m. and checked out at noon, after only an hour. We had to move to another hotel in the night and pay double to book a room in an emergency. Our holiday was spoiled. This is a very poor hotel, please don’t book it.

I wouldn’t stay here even for free. The neighborhood is dirty, and the owner was impolite while the staff were awful and unhelpful. I believe they stole my wife’s phone from our room. The owner didn’t help and said nobody had taken it, even though the entrance and our room were locked with a key. There’s no cleaning service, and even if there were, I wouldn’t use it because I’d worry about theft. There are no toiletries either, and nobody helps with luggage. The hotel has no elevator, and the internet is extremely slow, like it’s from the 80s. Not recommended, even for one day.

Avoid this place at all costs. Money went missing. The woman and her family kept asking for cash, saying it was for taxes and fees on online bookings. The room photos aren’t realistic, and I found the people dishonest. The place was full of thieves and drug users.

The owner started pressuring us for money on our first day. After I decided to leave, I still wasn’t refunded, even though I’d paid a deposit for 13 nights before arriving. The room was a letdown: it smelled awful and the cleaning was nonexistent. There’s no elevator, and Tarbasi felt like the worst district in Istanbul, not somewhere I’d choose for a family. I’d never recommend this place.
