The room was cold and smelled damp, rats were digging in the wall, the Wi-Fi often didn’t work, and I couldn’t control the hot and cold water. When it rained, water came into my room. I even left five days early, but the owner rented the room to someone else and didn’t compensate me. I booked through Booking.com, and the room pictured during booking wasn’t the one I got. He doesn’t even deserve one star.

We paid for three days but lasted only several hours before leaving. The owner was aggressive when we complained, insulting and threatening us, and I expect anyone unhappy there would get the same treatment. We’d booked an extra bed in advance and he promised it, but it never appeared. To keep us from complaining, he offered a horrible little basement room without sheets. After we objected, he started insulting and threatening us, so we left. We don’t recommend this place to anyone. The bathroom, toilet, and sink were crammed into a space of about 1 m/1 m, like something for kindergarten kids. Its broken plastic accordion door wouldn’t close, and the owner had put an elastic band on it so guests could pull it shut. Breakfast was left out on plastic plates that looked old and strange, in the corridor by the stairs on top of the washing machine. We were afraid to touch the food in case we got infected. The kitchen was tiny and shared by several floors, and I can’t see how it could be used. The stairs were extremely steep, with a filthy, old, torn carpet. The neighborhood was steep, noisy, and dirty. Disgusting place and owner.

It’s budget accommodation near Taxim Square. Veli is a wonderful host and an amazing person.

I stayed for a month, and the hotel was really clean and comfortable. The owners were super nice.
