The Elysium Taksim

Breakfast was the one part that didn't quite match the hotel's overall quality. Apart from that, we had a very pleasant time at The Elysium Taksim. The hotel is around 500 metres from Taksim Square, which made getting around Istanbul convenient. Our room was comfortable and well kept, and the atmosphere was lovely. The staff were professional and welcoming, especially the customer service and guest relations team. Thanks to “Ms. Veronica”, “Ms. Elvina”, and the reception staff for their warm, helpful support throughout our stay. I'd recommend it if you're after a comfortable, well located stay in Istanbul.

The spa, pool, and wellness facilities were wonderful and gave the stay a luxurious feel. Breakfast was tasty, with plenty of fresh, good quality choices, and the rooms were spacious, modern, spotless, and comfortable, with a great bed. A special thank you to Ms. Veronika from Guest Relations for the warm welcome and thoughtful care. The whole team was friendly, professional, and ready to help. Veronika's attention to detail made the visit especially memorable. Elysium Taksim is very close to Taksim Square, with restaurants, shops, and attractions easy to reach. Everything felt comfortable and elegant from arrival through checkout. I highly recommend it for a luxurious, comfortable stay in Istanbul, and I'll definitely return.

I had to move rooms three times, from 1002 to 1108 and then 1003, because the AC wasn't working properly. Each time I raised it, I was told the hotel was full and to come back the next day. Having the same problem in three rooms and hearing that response each time was frustrating. The rooms also weren't as clean as I expected. There was hair in several places, and the furniture, floors, and walls were visibly worn. Housekeeping mostly just made the bed and left. Once, a staff member knocked and came in just seconds later without waiting for an answer, which felt uncomfortable and unprofessional. I don't understand the five star rating. This was nowhere near a five star stay, and I wouldn't recommend it.

The location was good and the price was reasonable. The hotel was clean, and some employees were great to deal with. We were in the building across from reception, which may have affected our experience. My brother and I stayed three days, but the room was far too hot and the bed was small and uncomfortable. We barely slept. Room service was slow and expensive, and some things we ordered never arrived. It wasn't the five star experience we expected, and we left feeling uncomfortable.
