The Walens Hotel Avcılar

A lovely hotel.

The location worked well for me, about a 5-minute walk from the metrobus station and right next to the robot museum. The room was spacious, and the heating and cooling were fine. It came with shampoo, a refrigerator, kettle, tea bags, water, and paper cups. The TV worked, though the remote was a bit wonky, and the door had a good three-lock system. But none of the outlets beside the bed worked, which was a real pain. The bathroom and toilet were separate, and the bathroom wasn’t finished and had no door. Apparently renovations are underway, but guests shouldn’t be put in a room like this. Worst of all, the bed was sunken and the mattress springs had actually come through. I had to put a towel over it so they wouldn’t dig into my back. It looked secondhand. The mattresses urgently need replacing. If they do that, I might consider staying again.

I picked this hotel for a business trip because it was clean, the staff were friendly, and the service felt comfortable and high quality. I’d recommend it to everyone, and congratulate the hotel on its excellent quality.

Getting around is easy from this well located hotel, and that access to everywhere really matters. The rooms are clean and hygienic, and the service and friendliness are excellent. Wishing them success.
