Trip Park Hotel

The area was surprisingly quiet at night for central Istanbul, and it's a 15-minute walk to Taksim. If arriving by metro, Osmanbey is the better station; the walk via Dolapdere street is a more gradual hill and has no stairs. The price is very good for what you get, especially for budget-conscious travellers, and I'd definitely stay again. The hotel seems quite new, so everything still works. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Cleanliness was decent, though a little more effort from the staff could improve it. The rooms, particularly the economy double rooms, aren't very big, which could be a problem if you bring lots of luggage. I'd give it 4.5 stars.

Our room's view was horrible, though that didn't bother us. The location could be better, but the bus stops and metro station are close. The hotel itself was great and very clean. The rooms were small but big enough for two, and the bathroom was exceptionally clean with a large shower. The TV was nice, too, and you can connect your phone to watch Netflix or whatever. We were really glad we booked here.

I stayed here a few times, but one night there were bed bugs. I got big bites and slept terribly. The hotel wouldn't refund my booking.

The hotel was clean and well organized. But the AC didn't work. Reception told me they'd fix it in the morning, and then nothing happened. Luckily it was cool out, so I opened the window instead. The room was on the small side, sound insulation between rooms was weak, and the bathroom sink was partly clogged.
