The staff were courteous and friendly, though only a few could speak English, which made things hard to communicate. The hotel itself didn’t feel like a five-star stay. It may have some five-star features, but the quality wasn’t there. My room was roomy and clean, but dated. The shower head was old, the bathroom mirror light was dim, the toilet seat uncomfortable, and the tiny TV didn’t work at all. The door took three tries to open, as if it was set up that way, and often wouldn’t close properly. There were heavy dirt marks on the hallway carpet too. Breakfast was one of the worst continental breakfasts I’ve had. I was especially disappointed by the scrambled eggs, and getting Nescafe in Turkey just didn’t feel right. The hotel sits in the middle of nowhere, with nothing to walk to except the fair. There aren’t shops or restaurants nearby, so you’re left with the hotel restaurant, which is okay but nothing special. Even for a fair visit, I wouldn’t recommend it.

Turkish Airlines put me here after I missed a transfer. The hotel was once a five-star place, and while it’s still nice enough, it feels more like an OK stay now. The rooms were clean, the staff friendly, and the service pleasant. My main issue was the trip from the airport: about 50 minutes on rough, winding roads through what looked like an industrial area. I’m sure TK could have found somewhere closer and more convenient, but it was all right.

We had a medical emergency and contacted management 48 hours ahead to ask about cancelling one of our two rooms, or getting even a partial refund. I was extremely disappointed by how rigid they were, hiding behind the “non-refundable” policy despite our flexibility and potential for ongoing corporate business. There was no empathy. Business travelers, beware: they seem to value a one-time fee over a long-term professional relationship.

I ended up here during a layover after missing my TA flight. The reception team and the young woman at the lobby bar gave great service. The room was okay, though it didn’t feel up to a supposed five-star rating. The location isn’t ideal, but malls and other amenities are a short taxi ride away. The airline’s catering was disappointing and offered little choice, though that wasn’t the hotel’s fault.

My flight was delayed at the last minute, so I was sent to this hotel. The service was friendly and great, and the rooms were clean. There was a good range of tasty food, including healthy options. Highly recommended.
