Ulubat Castle Hotel

The rooms were filthy, with bed bugs, mold, and water leaking. They showed us four different rooms, and every one was horrible. After sitting on the bed for five minutes, my body itched for about four hours. I wish I could give zero stars. They said to come back the next morning so the manager could arrange a refund and apologize in person. When we returned, he wasn’t there. I’ve been waiting here for 30 minutes, and my whole holiday feels ruined. This feels like a complete scam.

I was there for four nights, and it was a nightmare. The so-called free breakfast was the same limited menu every day and wasn’t worth it. There were no free water bottles, no kettle, and no proper room service, including no daily cleaning or fresh towels. The walls were paper-thin. During the day I could clearly hear strange moaning from the next room, probably loud enough for the whole floor to hear. With no soundproofing, sleeping or relaxing was impossible. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was bad enough that I wanted to warn people. Save your money and peace of mind and stay elsewhere.

The online photos gave a misleading impression. The building is over 50 years old and in shockingly poor condition, as the attached photos show. For the exorbitant price, this was one of the worst hotels I’ve come across. The rooms were filthy, the washrooms revolting and unhygienic, and there was a persistent foul smell in the corridors. Staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. I don’t think this place is suitable for families or anyone looking for basic cleanliness and comfort. I strongly urge travelers to avoid it, and booking platforms to delist it so future guests aren’t put through such a distressing stay.

The room was dirty, the bed was in awful shape, and the staff were careless. A terrible hotel.
