The location worked well, with a tram stop about 5 minutes away, many attractions within walking distance, and good restaurants nearby. One thing to know: a street-facing room can be noisy early in the morning because of the mosque. We were first put in a basement economy room that was in rough shape: gum on the headboard, a sewage smell in the bathroom, and no fridge or phone. The hotel moved us to a better room as soon as one opened up. Vafa at reception was lovely and helpful, and treated us very sweetly.

The staff were so friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. Hotel Zem is well placed for walking to the main Old City sights. I had a wonderful stay, and it was great value for the money. I'd happily come back! 😊

The rooms were comfortable, nice, and very clean, and the staff were genuinely helpful and friendly. There's also a terrace open 24/7 where you can sit and talk or have a drink with friends. Zem hotel is well located, not far from the main street and its T1 tram, or the main Old Town sights. The street is fairly steep, so bear that in mind if you're with young kids or older companions. We really enjoyed our stay and I definitely plan to return.

The location was a big plus, about a 5-minute walk to Sulthanamet and the other sights, though be prepared for stairs and hills. I extended my stay. The room was a little small, but that was fine since I was travelling alone. It was very clean, and they cleaned it and made the bed every day. The woman at the desk, whose name I've unfortunately forgotten, was wonderful. She gave me lots of useful tips and instructions, and was always kind and happy to chat. The other receptionists were great too. Highly recommend it.

Wafa was fantastic, sharing tips and good recommendations with us. The room was spacious and cozy, and the hotel is very conveniently located: around 10-15 minutes on foot to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia, and about 8 minutes to the T1 tram. I'd definitely recommend staying here.
