The price is cheap and the room itself is fine, but the bathroom needs work. The door won’t shut properly, the shower glass door is broken, and the toilet wouldn’t flush. I had to fix it myself.

It was clean, affordable, and close to the metro with lots of facilities nearby. Jihan at reception was kind and helpful, and the cook was really nice too. There was a Syrian restaurant around the corner called ahel elşam, and the food was delicious.
It was okay, nothing too bad.
Never again.
The daytime receptionist was very helpful, and the location is central, with the metro only a few minutes away and Alsancak a five-minute walk. Basmane itself isn’t a particularly nice area, but it’s convenient for getting around. If you’re a student visiting Izmir, or just need somewhere to sleep, it could work. The room was clean enough, though the smell during my first nights was awful. I couldn’t tell whether the toilet or the room was worse, and it made me feel like I might get poisoned. The rooms in the next building smelled a bit better. With the window open, noise from the interior ventilation was loud. It may be better to arrive during the day and check your room, since they might give your reservation to someone else at night.
