Four Points by Sheraton Izmir

We booked an 11-day stay, and the hotel itself was great. What disappointed us was the chef in charge in the morning. She hid food at sahour or early breakfast, even though the regular breakfast had everything. We complained to reception, but nothing changed. The photos give you an idea of what happened. We were really disappointed by this behavior.

The hotel was clean, which is why I gave it 3 stars, but I won't stay again. Construction noise kept us awake until 2 am, and the staff didn't help us get a more comfortable room even though we were staying 3 nights. They offered one with a bigger balcony, but dust and construction materials from the machines below kept hitting it, so we couldn't use it.

The breakfast team are lovely, and the front desk is very helpful. The air conditioning is the serious problem: management needs to fix it, since only the heat works right now. The room can reach 35-36 Celsius, making it impossible to sleep. They acknowledged how serious the fault was but didn't offer any compensation.

We had a quiet, pleasant short stay. Check-in was smooth, and the front desk staff were friendly. There was free underground parking shared with the shopping centre next door. The well-equipped gym is on the top floor, with city views. They also left small, delicate desserts in the room when we checked in.
