Hotel Resat

It was very affordable, the host was friendly, and it's about ten minutes from the city centre. The space was really cramped, though. The fridge barely worked, and the shower only came out at the bottom, not from the dispenser, which made showering really uncomfortable. The A/C was directly above the head of the bed.

We were happy with the security, the room cleanliness and the location. The staff on both day and night shifts were very friendly and did their best to help with everything. The owner, Aziz Bey, did the same.

We were coming back late from Foça and decided to stay in İzmir. The hotel we found online had no triple rooms, so they recommended nearby Reşat Hotel. When we arrived around 00:30, everything looked normal. We planned to sleep and leave in the morning. Half an hour after lying down, my arms started itching. We got up to check for mosquitoes but couldn't find any. Another half hour later, it was worse. My wife and I checked the bed carefully and found lots of insects between the blankets. I think they were fleas. We told the elderly man at the entrance, but he said, "That's not how it works here." We asked him to come look, and after seeing the blanket he offered us another room. We didn't know what that room would be like, so we left quickly and slept in the car. We didn't get our money back. I'm warning you, don't go there.

We were very satisfied when we left. The hotel was clean, and the staff were attentive and polite. Many thanks to the owner, Mr. Aziz, and everyone working there. We'd definitely stay at Reşat Hotel again on a future trip to Izmir.
