Afflon Hotels Loft City

The room wasn’t cleaned during our two nights, and there were still people’s panties in the drawers. We got only two sheets, both too small for the bed, so we ended up sleeping on the mattress. The pillows were terrible too. The staff were unfriendly. When we asked the man at the front desk for coffee, he said, “No, closed.” Then he made coffee for guests who spoke Turkish. We asked again, and he gave us the same answer.

The rooms are spacious and clean. But the shower kept dripping, and the noise was hard to get used to. The TVs are also very loud, since even 1% volume sounds louder than 30 on most TVs.

I’d read the negative reviews and was a bit apprehensive when my tour operator booked this hotel, but I ended up having a really pleasant stay. The room was clean and spacious, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The front desk staff especially deserve a mention. Thanks to all the lovely staff.

I didn’t get to stay here, but I stopped in for a coffee while I had an hour to pass. The staff and management were incredibly polite and professional, and they were generous too. It’s close to shops and services, and Kaleici, the old town, is a 10 minute walk away. I hope I can stay next time.
