Laleli Hotel Izmir

I left my lovely place in Ankara expecting a hotel, and ended up somewhere that should be shut down over all the health problems. The bathroom dirt was shocking, the toilet wouldn't flush, and there was no hot water. I tried to overlook the rest, but how can a hotel have no hot water in winter? We were given a million explanations, then the water was cut off entirely. Half our day went on waiting to bathe. Worst place I've ever stayed. I'd give it zero if I could.

A warning, especially for LGBTQ people: I felt the area was dangerous at night. On my third night, a boy with a knife chased me a few streets away, by the road alongside kulturpark. Thankfully I was fitter than him :>

The receptionists and the rest of the staff were so kind and treated me really well. This was one of the best hotels I've stayed at during my trip in Turky. I had an amazing time here and would definitely recommend visiting.

The staff were friendly and ready to help, and the hotel and rooms were clean. It's close to the railway station, though the area is small and the lift is painfully slow. Still, I had a good experience.
