Otel Balca

Even one night was enough to appreciate the cleanliness, comfort, and hospitality here. The central location is close to the train station, and our room was clean, modern, and spacious enough. There wasn’t excessive noise. Staff arranged an early morning taxi for us on departure day. The only small downside is that there’s no lift.

This budget hotel was handy for the central location and the services I needed on my trip. The staff were welcoming and helpful, and I’d stay again 😊

We only managed one night before leaving for another hotel. The rooms were dirty, the shower and bathroom were dirty and rusty, the kettle was broken, and it was too noisy outside. The reception was never at the desk. To top it off, the taxi they called arrived with a high meter reading and charged 50 lira for a three-minute ride. I don’t recommend staying here.

The cafe next door, Berlin, has a lovely chef and very reasonable prices. I ate breakfast there every morning, and it was lovely. Around the hotel there’s good food and entertainment, everything stays open late, and it’s easy to walk everywhere. The location is very good and the hotel is worth the price. I was in Izmir for health reasons and stayed at hotel Balca for five nights. I probably had my best time ever. Cigdem and Umut at reception were excellent, friendly, and helpful, and the cleaners came every day. My room was very clean, the bed comfortable, and the air conditioning worked well. I’m planning to visit them again in September with my husband, and highly recommend it. Thanks to the whole Balca Hotel team for the lovely hospitality.
