Renk Otel Karşıyaka

The rooms were very clean and the staff friendly. It's a boutique hotel with no breakfast, ideally placed close to Karşıyaka bazaar but far enough away from the noise.

I can recommend this place. I'm really meticulous and obsessive, but was very pleased with how spotlessly clean the hotel was. There's no breakfast, just accommodation, and the location is close to everything. Izban train station, ferry, bus, and minibus stops are all within walking distance, and the market is five minutes away. The hotel's street has everything: a hairdresser, liquor store, market, bakery, pet shop, and more. It's a really great spot. Ms. Yaprak always greeted us with a smile, and I'd like to thank her. The jacuzzi was installed, but the water wouldn't heat up and smelled of algae. There was no soap in the toilet, and the towels were left dirty. The VIP rooms need maintenance, especially the hot water. I'd rather pay a little more for that to be taken care of.

There was mold in the vents and bathroom, a filthy bathtub, stained bedding, and damaged furniture. The room was in an unhygienic state, and the conditions felt like a health risk. This was one of the worst and dirtiest places we've stayed, and I wouldn't give it even one star. We clearly asked for a thorough cleaning and fresh bedding, but there was no real improvement. They used air freshener and only superficially changed the sheets without replacing them. We were told at the hotel that no other rooms were available. Later, the hotel claimed they'd offered us a room change, which isn't true. Those contradictory statements show how guests are treated. The hotel's response afterward was just as hard to understand. They downplayed what we'd described, called it “exaggerated,” and flatly refused a refund. Instead, they offered a voucher for a place we wouldn't choose to stay at again after this experience. That wasn't professional or customer-oriented. We can't recommend this hotel and strongly advise against booking here.
