Zebra Otel Buca

I've never stayed in a worse hotel. The breakfast room they showed us was windowless, just four walls that looked more like a storage space. The rooms were old and neglected, the beds were beyond repair, and the air conditioner made noise constantly. I avoided using the bathroom because I was afraid of catching cholera. I had to spend four days there. Don't make the mistake I did.

We asked for a refund for two nights and left, but even after we submitted an invoice for the refund, the hotel didn't approve it or return our money. We were there for three nights at the Zebra Hotel in Buca, Izmir for a training course, and ended up showering in cold water for all three days, with the water supply interrupted too. Our triple room was just 22 square meters, and the three beds blocked the doorway and left hardly any room to move. They advertised a buffet breakfast, but there was no proper restaurant. It was set up in the basement beside the laundry room, with plastic tables and chairs, and no breakfast was served. After we'd left for other business, they called to say, "We saw you on camera, you can come and have breakfast." I've never seen such a terrible hotel. Don't even consider staying there, you'll be humiliated.

The bathroom door wasn't fitted properly, and the hairdryer cords were frayed and looked unsafe. The room cleaning was poor too. I stayed one night and left without even taking a shower, it was awful. The breakfast room is down in a dark basement beside the laundry. I won't go back.

The wallpaper is peeling and there's damp in a few corners, as in the photo I attached. The rooms are small, and while they're clean, I wouldn't call them spotless. There's no smell, though I spotted cobwebs above my head in a few places. Sound insulation is about 3/10. I probably wouldn't stay here again.
