Pasha Palas Hotel Izmit

At least I got a full refund, and the receptionist was quite nice. He showed me five rooms, though every bathroom was disgusting, and he did try to do a good job. I’d called before booking because the only reason I wanted to stay there was to take a bath. They could have told me to choose another hotel. Instead, I paid for a cab twice, to get there and then leave. The bathtubs in all five rooms had cigarette burns, disgusting holes, and smelly tube endings. When the water level rose, disgusting stuff came out of the holes. The rooms smelled like ashtrays too, and the furniture looked like it needed replacing. Not recommended.

This was the worst hotel I’ve ever been to, and it doesn’t deserve one star. The furniture was very old and dirty, there was no air conditioning or hot water, and the reception staff didn’t help solve any problems. I had a terrible vacation staying in such a disgusting place. I wouldn’t even consider booking it, even if I couldn’t find anywhere else.

The staff were polite, kind, and helpful, but breakfast was very poor. From a European point of view, it felt terribly monotonous. The hotel looks nice in the pictures, and it was good when it was built.

The reception guy was really nice, spoke English very well, and was very helpful. I had a pleasant stay and will be back.
