Babakamp Eco Ranch & Retreat

Just to say, I’m 13 and writing this because some reviews seem unfair. I hope it helps anyone wondering if the camp is worth visiting. We still have 3 nights left as I write this, and when I’m older I’d definitely like to come back with friends or on my own. The trip to the camp is difficult, and it might cost more than you expect. My mum wasn’t very happy about the price, especially since a group she was meant to teach yoga with cancelled at the last minute and she was feeling down. She often had a bad attitude towards the staff, and I need to apologise for that. The gates confused my parents too, and I found their reaction pretty funny, even if they weren’t pleased. I understand why things are set up this way. The views make the hard journey worthwhile. It honestly feels heavenly, and I’ll miss looking out at this beautiful place. The staff are really sweet and friendly, and it warms my heart how close they are to each other. My mum did complain about noise at night. The food was great, though I grew up eating a limited range of food and I’m a picky eater, so it wasn’t really to my taste. My mum and dad thought it was amazing, especially the cheese and cheese-stuffed pastries. The cats kept trying to eat our food, which made the place feel homely because we have a cat at home who tries to steal ours too. I don’t think this camp is for people who want luxury. There’s no internet and roaming doesn’t work, and the rooms don’t have AC. I’m glad about that, honestly, because it gave me a different perspective from the pampered treatment I’m used to. I really like this place, and I’m sad I made a bad first impression.

Babakamp is surrounded by nature, a great way to get away from the city crowd. We came as two families and stayed in twin houses. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed, and we loved the ceiling window where we could watch the stars before going to sleep. The observation deck has a breathtaking view, and it’s a place where you can find yourself. The hosts are very friendly. We had a great time and highly recommend it to everyone.

It’s a tough drive to reach the campsite, but the view makes it worthwhile. You can choose from different accommodation options, whether a tent or a room, and I think the prices are fine. There are activities like yoga, swimming in the pool, and trekking. The campfire at night makes for an amazing atmosphere. Bring a sweatshirt and sweatpants just in case, since it’s at a height of 1300 meters from the seaside.

There’s beautiful nature, good trekking through the forest, all you can eat breakfast and dinner, and friendly stuff. But it’s really overpriced for what it offers. We paid 414 TL for salad and kebab, and 215$ for 2 nights in low season. After staying there, I don’t think it’s worth it. At half the price, yes.
