Goat Bungalow and Camping

Breakfast with birdsong, surrounded by nature and looking out at that view, was such a lovely way to start the day. It’s very family-friendly, and the staff were helpful and flexible. I’d strongly recommend it if this kind of accommodation is what you’re after.

I came here to relax and switch off, and the calm setting with wonderful views of Kabak beach was perfect for that. The owners were welcoming and helpful from the moment I arrived. Thanks to all the staff. I hope to come back and stay longer at this little piece of heaven.

There were good things about my stay, though I had a few concerns. The bungalow was clean, the breakfast was very good, and they charged me less than the amount mentioned in the email. The location is close to the start of the Lycian Way, though far from the beach, and they clearly love animals. I had a pleasant stay overall. I’d booked through their website, but on arrival they said its reservation system didn’t work and they had no record of me. They did have free bungalows, and even let me choose between two. I could lock the bungalow door, but not the terrace door. As a woman travelling alone, I didn’t feel fully safe knowing someone could theoretically get in at night, so I pushed a cupboard in front of it. The shower had very little water pressure. The water stayed cold for about 10 minutes before warming up, so I had to choose between a cold shower and wasting water, which felt especially bad in that region. Breakfast was supposed to start at 8 am, but the kitchen was still closed when I got there, and I didn’t eat until 8:30 am. Since I was hiking the Lycian Way and needed an early start, that wasn’t ideal.

The hosts made our holiday special, even staying up to greet us when flight delays meant we arrived at 3am. They were extremely kind and generous. We spent 8 nights here, with delicious breakfasts that varied every day. During our stay they had also just opened a restaurant with a fantastic bar. The bungalows were great, with good facilities and strong air conditioning, and there’s a lovely pool overlooking the valley plus places to relax. The scenery around Kabak is beautiful and the people are great. We’d recommend it to anyone and hope to return. Thank you Seyit, Emre and friends!
