Nemrut Cesme Pension

The food was delicious, and Huseyin was incredibly helpful. Çeşme Pansiyon sits right by the mountain, surrounded by nature, with fresh water coming straight from the river. We had a great stay and I highly recommend it as a base for visiting the Nemrut dag.

It was wrecked, like a haunted house.

Mehmet and Hussein were very helpful, and tours can be arranged. We were in a beautiful mountain setting close to mount Nemrut. The rooms were clean and roomy enough, with very comfortable beds. The food was simple but good.

The staff were friendly, and both breakfast and dinner were very good, but the stay was still extremely disappointing. The building and room were bitterly cold, and the heater/air conditioning unit in the corner barely warmed anything. Damp paint flakes were coming down from the ceiling, and we had to make our own bed. We chose this place to get easy access to Nemrut and drove about 3 hours out of our way. After messaging, we were told the road wasn’t closed, but it actually was. You can reach the hotel, though the road closes just beyond it, so you can’t continue by car or on foot. Google Maps marks a closed section leading to the hotel, which isn’t where the actual closure is. We weren’t warned there’d be no access, and could have changed our plans for a better chance of seeing Nemrut. The guy said he could try taking us there for 80 euros. I understand the weather made this a less than ideal time to stay, but the road information was frustrating, and the room conditions added to it.
