For the price, it's still worth a stay. The view reminded me of hotels in the Aegean, and the staff were as friendly and helpful as the locals, as well as clean. There were some odd things, though. A group, I think there for a birthday, played loud music until noon. The hotel also felt unprofessional: the children's pool downstairs was in disrepair, the carpet was badly stained, and the balcony door in room 310 was broken. I stayed here yesterday.

We got to the lobby and left the room key there, then walked out. Nobody even asked why we were leaving. The elevator in this huge hotel smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, and inside the room the TV didn't work. It was freezing throughout the hotel, with a noticeable smoke smell. The receptionist said the heating system was broken, and they were setting up wood-burning stoves for the lobby and restaurant. The restaurant wasn't open, and there was no food service. When the lobby attendant took us upstairs, he opened two rooms with a card before opening a third and saying he thought it was ours. I asked if he was sure, and he grinned and said yes. I also asked about breakfast. He said there was none in the restaurant, but he could bring something to our room if we called him in the morning. The room phone didn't work, so he gave me his card and told me to call him from there. We left in frustration. Don't go to this hotel, and don't be taken in by the view or anything else.

The location is in Kale village, between Malatya and Elazığ, beside the dam lake and about 800 meters inland from the main road. The hotel is clean, quiet, high quality, reasonably priced, and has a fantastic view. I travel all the time for work, but this was my first stay here. The staff were attentive and helpful, and made me feel like a guest rather than just a customer. I took a look around and saw a sauna, an indoor pool, an outdoor pool, and a Turkish bath. I've reviewed plenty of hotels, and this is the longest review I've written. It deserves it.

I went there for breakfast, not to stay overnight. The place was very clean, and the staff were friendly. The women in the kitchen looking after the buffet were especially nice and attentive. The views are the best around, and honestly, Turkish views of this beauty are comparable. The prices were quite reasonable too. I'll come back for breakfast, and try staying there as well.
