The best thing for me was the large pool, which was so quiet that it felt like having a villa. It’s also a peaceful place to get away and relax. We stayed a week after time in Ölüdeniz, and found the hotel well placed for the old town and harbour. The front desk and pool bar teams were friendly and helpful, and the maid who tidied our room every day was great. The furniture and fittings feel like they’re from the 1980s, and the bathroom is very small. Breakfast was a typical Turkish spread, but smaller than elsewhere in Kalkan.

The location is very central, and I’d gladly stay here again. We only had a week, though I’d have liked a few more days. It was very friendly and clean, with a nice breakfast and a lovely pool surrounded by plenty of outdoor space. The pool bar was good for a drink in the early evening or anytime you wanted to stay by the pool. Lunches were tasty and reasonably priced. I couldn’t fault the hotel.

My favourite hotel. It’s a lovely family run place, right in the centre but still peaceful, with a big, beautiful garden. It’s animal friendly and serves breakfast and lunch. Rooms have a TV, fridge, and balcony, and some have sea views from the roof terrace. There’s a children’s pool, a library, 24-hour security, and shaded parking right in front of the hotel. Three streets give you routes to the market, the centre, and Kalamarroad. Everywhere is about a two-minute walk away.

The staff and service were great, the pool was good, and it’s an easy walk into Kalkan centre. If you can, book one of the two top-floor rooms for the view. The suites are fine too, unless you need a large shower.

It feels more like a home than a hotel, and they do everything they can for you. It’s clean and the location is perfect. A must if you’re visiting Kalkan.
