True Blue Boutique Hotel Kalkan

What a lovely little village-style hotel. My friend and I have just come back from a wonderful week at the True Blue Boutique Hotel in Kalkan. The breakfast was the best I’ve had anywhere, with fresh fruit, cheeses, honey, cakes, savoury items, seeds, nuts, spices, jams, coffee, and Turkish tea. There was cooked breakfast too if you wanted it. The choice was endless, so we never needed lunch. Owner Tuba was friendly and always had time for our many questions. Thanks as well to Rafi and Beck at Reception, and to all the waiters and waitresses for being so helpful. Our garden studio was clean, with plenty of towels and a beautiful covered garden complete with a hammock. I can’t rate it highly enough. Just go, you won’t regret it!

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and we had a lovely two-night stay. Breakfast was outstanding and would be a reason to choose the hotel on its own. We also enjoyed the free yoga session offered on Sundays. The center is an eight-minute drive away, though there are nice restaurants and a supermarket within walking distance.

I was really happy with our stay. We had a spacious apartment with a kitchen and big terrace, and I loved having it as a place to work online. The apartments are serviced daily, breakfast is generous, and the pool in the beautiful lemon-tree garden is very nice. The staff were kind and helpful. I also appreciated the arrangement with Yali Beach Club, where guests of Tru Blue Hotel Kalkan get free entry. Kalkan is a picturesque town for taking lots of great photos, and the sea is like a dream, crystal clear and warm even in October. Highly recommend this place!

It’s a quiet, relaxed hotel with a very nice pool, free towels, and a bar area. The hosts were wonderful, especially Tuba, who was kind and helpful whenever we needed something. Breakfast was delicious, and they kindly made me a hot vegan option every morning. We also enjoyed the free Sunday 8:00am yoga with Olga. Room service was good, the shower was strong, toiletries were free, and Pako the dog was a lovely surprise. Parking on site was easy, and we liked the free access to Yali Beach Club. Taxis around Kalkan have fixed prices, with a ride into the center costing 220 Turkish lira at the time of writing. A few Turkey travel tips: cash machines may charge up to 10%, AMEX generally isn’t accepted, and it’s best to negotiate when shopping. If you have a car, the coastal drive to Kas is beautiful. Sakilkent gorge and waterfall are just up the road if you’re feeling adventurous.
