Villa Esen

We were 12, but there was plenty of room for everyone, so we didn’t have to be on top of each other. The villa was superb, with clean rooms, a pool cleaned every day, and a lovely clean space around the house. There was plenty to do, and the views from all around were amazing. We also met the owner, who was a fantastic guy to chat with. I’d definitely recommend this villa to anyone looking for a place in kalkan turkey. Amazing place.

A perfect host.

The villa is clean and spacious, though the furnishings are only average. The pool is very small, and only a little space is usable at pool level since the villa below blocks the rest. There’s a nice view from the terrace and balcony, but no sea view from anywhere. The bedrooms are small, too. Bathrooms and toilets on each floor are cramped, and the middle floor has them combined without a divider, which is a ridiculous setup. Honestly, it feels like there are no proper bathrooms. The jacuzzi is only upstairs, and if hot water is being used downstairs, it doesn’t reach the upper floors.

The villa, its location, and the care we received were all fine, and our holiday had been pleasant and trouble-free. But the checkout incident erased all of that for us. Check-in was at 4 PM, so we didn’t expect to have to leave before 12 PM. The cleaners arrived at 9:30 AM while we were still getting ready. We asked them to return at 10 AM, and when they did, we were just moving our last things to the door. As soon as they came in, they started harassing us. We initially ignored them, but then they stopped our friend from using the toilet and threw his suitcase outside. When we challenged them, they said, “You misunderstood me,” and we decided to leave. As we were heading out, our friend turned back to grab one last thing and heard the cleaner on the phone saying, “I sprayed them all, there was one tall one who was making a lot of noise.” When she spotted him, she ran and locked herself inside.
