Villa Kalkan

Villa Setara was a letdown and didn't meet our expectations. The views over Kalkan weren't anything special, and my family didn't enjoy the holiday as much as we'd hoped. The airport transfers were badly organised. We definitely won't return.

We had an excellent holiday, and the villa was beautiful and exactly what we needed. The only feedback I'd give is that parking access is really difficult. We couldn't drive our hire cars up the hill beside the villa, so you need a reasonably powerful car, maybe even a four-wheel drive. It wasn't a big issue for us since we parked by the villa. We'd certainly recommend it to our friends, and thanks again for all your help.

The climb up to the villa is a concern if you’re with older family members: the listing didn’t mention the roughly 35 steep steps at the entrance. Inside, upkeep is poor. We found ant nests on our first night because the gaps around the doors hadn’t been sealed, and the place wasn’t clean. We also kept running out of water and had to ask for the tank to be refilled. No one checked it proactively, so we only discovered the problem when a tap or shower ran dry. We had electricity trouble at first, including one complete outage. The electrician said it was a known issue and that maintenance hadn’t been kept up. Given the price, this doesn’t feel like a luxury villa, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Baris took such good care of us throughout our stay, and nothing seemed like too much trouble for him. We spent 17 amazing days at Villa Imperial, which was stunning and exceeded what we’d hoped for. I’d happily recommend it. Thank you!
