Hotel Kent Ani

The included Turkish breakfast was really tasty, and the host was consistently friendly and ready to help. The rooms are on the small side, though everything in them has been designed with care and looks lovely. It’s a centrally located hotel at a great price. I did find someone else’s hair in the bed, which might bother other people more than it bothered me.

If you need somewhere to stay in Kars, I’d recommend Kent Ani Hotel. The receptionist was friendly and helpful, and the place itself was good. Thanks to my brothers Yusuf and Ihsan.

I’d booked four nights but left today after only two. This is one star at best, awful, don’t stay here. I had to refuse the first room. There were no English electrical plugs, wires were hanging out of the wall, and I could smell smoke even though I was told it was non-smoking. Breakfast was pathetic. The kettle was broken, the rod in the clothes closet kept falling down, there wasn’t a second roll of toilet paper, and the fridge had mold growing in it.

The breakfast was good, and there was hot water in the morning, though not in the evening. But the room was small and basic, and at 55 euro (~2500 tl) I’ve never paid that much for a place this dirty. The bed linen hadn’t been changed after the previous traveler. It smelled of someone else, and there were stains on the sheets and towels. Even the light switch was sticky. Urgh.
