My three-star rating for Ambar Evleri reflects my disappointment with a brief encounter and what felt like a missed chance to honour the history and culture of the real Ambar Evleri. I saw the sign while travelling to an architectural masterpiece, and the cottages caught my attention. I didn't visit the grounds or look into what they actually represented. Historically, Ambar Evleri are modest wooden buildings used to store local cereals, often smaller than cottages and rich in cultural significance. I had hoped the name would be reserved for preserving genuine centuries-old folk dwellings, rather than used commercially. At first, I assumed it was another development with a bold tourist-site name like Club Artemis, Sunset Bay, or Cedar Orchard, and I felt underwhelmed by the sight. My rating system considers different architectural factors. For comparison, Villa Sahinkaya down the road gets four stars from me because it captures a place's character, respects its cultural heritage, and offers a memorable experience. This is an explanation of my earlier rating after the owner's implicit displeasure.

This was our second visit, and we stayed for 10 days after a week last year didn't feel like enough. Both times, Şemsa Hanım greeted us at the door in the July heat. Her modesty and warm welcome made it feel like visiting family. The owners were sweet, positive, and so hospitable. They invited us to their home for coffee and delicious treats Şemsa had made. We're glad we met them and found this place, and we already look forward to returning every year. The house sits in nature with a magnificent, one-of-a-kind view and a pool of lovely natural stones among the trees. Inside, every corner has carefully made details, from handmade accessories to all the things you'd want at home. The house and pool were spotless and beautifully decorated, just as lovely in person as they looked in the pictures. My dream of a peaceful holiday in an authentic village home came true here. Living in the city, we loved picking vegetables from the greenhouse, organic eggs from the chicken coop, and fruit from the garden trees. For the first time, we had a peaceful, complete holiday without any trouble and came home fully satisfied. Thank you for everything!
