Atalante Hotel

The people made the place feel special: they were warm, attentive, and heartfelt, and we felt like part of the family. We ate at the restaurant on two of our three nights because the food was delicious and beautifully presented. The breakfast buffet was wonderful too. We stayed three nights on a road trip, and the place was even more gorgeous in person than in the photos. One issue is that rooms in the lower part of the building have a smell that's impossible to get rid of. We were there in May and were lucky to be offered an upgrade. The new room upstairs was free of that smell. Both pools are beautiful and nearly always empty, so we had them to ourselves.

The service was very good, the views spectacular, and the outdoor hot tub was a great addition. Breakfast was just okay to me, not the best. The rooms weren't very clean, especially around the bathroom, and the bedroom smelled stale. We had to leave the air conditioning running constantly to clear the stuffy smell. It's about ten minutes from town, so you need a car. The beach is private, but a little dirty.

A very relaxing stay with a fantastic view. It's a well-kept boutique hotel, about six minutes by car from kas, with safe parking, excellent service, and friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast was delicious, and having a private beach is a big bonus.

We had the stone room below the pool deck, and from there the view felt especially good. You could hear the ocean from the deck, and both pools looked out over the sea and Kas coast. Boats passed by, but the water was mostly peaceful. The pools were nearly always empty, with beautiful water and views. It was so nice to swim in the infinity pool with the mountains of Kas across from us, framed by the cabana curtains. The sea deck sits right over the water, and the sea was unbelievably clear and beautiful, though a little cold for some. There was a bar hut, but the staff didn't seem to be looking after the deck or bar while we were there. That didn't bother me, and people still used the quiet, private area to enjoy the water. We loved the calm atmosphere. We went in late May, when the hotel seemed about 60% full, and I think it'd still be peaceful when full. A sweet gang of cats lives around the resort. They're well cared for and well behaved, with some shy ones and some very sociable ones. The room design was lovely. Our non-suite felt roomy and cozy, with practical clothing storage, swimsuit racks outside, and lots of lighting choices. Staff were nice and accommodating, with a laid-back manner I like. They cleaned our room daily and replaced the mini items we'd used. I liked the quiet, private setting facing the sunset, with strong afternoon sun that you don't get on the other side of the peninsula. But it isn't walkable if you want easy access to town. We rented a car, which worked perfectly; town was about six minutes away, and there was shaded parking. Oborus and Zaika were the two best restaurants we could walk to. Food at the hotel was okay, nothing special, and we mostly ate there when we couldn't be bothered to go out. I liked the breakfast, a standard buffet with a few items changing each day. Snack bar prices were about like elsewhere in Kas. Some details felt rustic rather than high-end. The shower was a little off, so the bathroom floor often got wet, and small vines and plants grew in cracks in the rock walls. It still felt clean and secure, and I think the rustic character fits Kas. Wi-Fi never worked in our room during our six-day stay. They said someone would look at it, but it stayed down, so the TVs couldn't connect to Netflix. I also would've liked pool towels on the pool deck. Some of the sea deck boards were quite raised, so we had to watch for splinters. The water took a long time to heat up, though I imagine there may not be much they can do about that. I'd absolutely return.
