Hotel Club Phellos

The views from the common areas, pool, and outdoor dining spaces were beautiful, but the stay itself was below average. Our room smelled strongly of cigarettes the whole night, and there was no WiFi access in the rooms during our one-night stay, which I haven't run into in many years. The hotel is old and needs maintenance. The mattress was very old and deformed, and only one of the bedside outlets worked.

Breakfast on the terrace each morning came with a stunning view, and the pool area was nice. The location was great, with an incredible outlook over the water. The rooms are dated and could use some TLC, but the air con worked, which mattered most. I'd stay again, hopefully by then they've shown the room some love and fixed the shower. :)

The hotel is centrally located and reasonably priced, but there are other nearby boutique hotels at similar rates. What made the stay bad was the condition of the beds: the springs were worn and poked into my back while I slept, and the pillows were old and thin. The white towels had gone black and didn't smell clean. Reception and staff seemed uninterested and were rude, and when I brought up the complaints, I didn't see them try to solve anything.

Getting a beer meant going between the bar and reception, then back to the bar just to pay by card. That was ridiculous. The staff didn't seem to care much and didn't know even a little English. The place is in a fantastic tourist spot full of restaurants and visitors, but the hotel itself is old and the service felt indifferent. The rooms were old and not particularly clean, and there was no WiFi. For what we paid, that wasn't acceptable. Breakfast was passable at best, though it was presented very fancily. Probably one of the most lacking experiences we've had in Turkey.
